After 15 years as a youth pastor at Calvary Chapel Sonora, Pastor Shawn felt God calling him to plant a church in Angels Camp. God placed on his heart to become a City of Refuge (Like in the book of Joshua) in Angels Camp, California. To be a place where those who find themselves condemned by their sin can come and find a place of refuge. They would be set free from the impact of sin as they come to personal knowledge and relationship with our greater High Priest, Jesus.

Because of what Jesus has done for us, we desire that He get all the glory for all we do. We all know that we don't have a story if it wasn't for Jesus' faithfulness.

We continually seek to bring Jesus glory; therefore, we are always asking, Jesus, what are you doing, and how can we join you?

We are not about programs but people. We desire to share our lives with people. We are taking time to get to know the individual and lovingly walk through life with them.

We desire to make the stranger our neighbor and our neighbors our family.
